Formula1, often referred to as F1 for short, is a popular motor sport watched and loved by many whether it be the thrill of watching it live or on TV. The speed, exhilaration and glamour of F1 is what keeps it a firm favourite for many around the world. The Formula1 season typically runs from March to November and consists of a number of different races each hosted by a different country. In the early days, there was as few as 7 races but in later years there has been as many as 18 or 19 races; such has become the popularity of Formula 1 motor racing.

The FIA Formula1 Grand Prix Championship was first awarded in 1950 and since then, it has become one of the most highly respected accolades in motor sports. There are two different Championships which consist of the the Driver's Championship and the Constructor's Championship which are awarded to the Driver and the Team which earn the most points during that F1 Season. The winning Constructor Team is not always the same team as the winning Driver since Team's usually have several drivers racing and points may be earned for all drivers in their team who finish in a points qualifying position.
